Will transportation be provided?

No, but, here are some helpful tips!

Airport: The Steel Horse is located approximately 3.5 hours from Denver International Airport and 2.5 hours from Colorado Springs International Airport.

Bus: Check out the Bustang schedule HERE, which allows you to also schedule and map out your route. The “Bustang” services the nearby towns of Salida and/or Buena Vista.

Taxi: From either Salida or Buena Vista, you can arrange a taxi to The Steel Horse via Rocky Mountain Taxi or Hey Rides Mountain Taxi.

As the retreat approaches and we have a full list of participants, I can also help arrange a ride share with participants traveling from either Denver or Colorado Springs or renting a car :)

Who is welcome?

What should I bring?

Please come to the retreat with enough clothing to last the week (no laundry services on site). If you are sharing a bathroom, shower shoes/sandals are recommended. There is a creek running through the property which is perfect for cool dips - bring your swimsuit if you’re interested in taking a plunge! We will be spending a lot of time outdoors, so bring clothing to match! Keep an eye on the weather forecast for Villa Grove, CO in the weeks leading up to our retreat and pack accordingly.

Is there internet?

Internet/Wifi is extremely limited and quite slow on site. Please be prepared to access it minimally.

Will there be free time allotted?

Yes! The property has various locations that allow for solo reflection time, including an aspen grove with hammocks, secluded creekside spaces, indoor lounge areas and more. Please bring books, a journal, pre-downloaded music or games for free time :)

Are payment plans available?

Yes! Pay in full options are available now, but payment plans will be available by 3.15.24 (just working on smoothing some final bumps in the process).

What is the refund/cancellation policy?

Tickets are non-refundable unless we are able to transfer your ticket to someone off the waitlist (which is not a guarantee). If you cancel within 3 weeks of the event, we cannot transfer your ticket and you will not be reimbursed. We recommend looking into travel insurance options if you’re worried you may have to cancel.
