Meet the Team

  • Danielle LaRock

    FOUNDER- THE GIVING GROUND

Hi, I’m Danielle. I grew up in southern New Hampshire, but life has taken me from New England to the Pacific Northwest and everywhere in between. I’m currently living in the Denver area, and my journey here has been a difficult one.

I lost my father, Donald, on August 27th, 2010. I lost my partner, Ian, on May 7th 2022. Both of their deaths were unexpected. Both of them were my biggest loves. Each of their passings affected me profoundly, but nothing prepared me for the loss of Ian. It broke my world into pieces. Since then, my soul has been on a transformative journey as I navigate the new life grief has given me.

As much as I grapple with my new reality, I strongly feel as if I have been given an opportunity. I am certain my dad and my partner are guiding me and that they have led me here to give others grieving the loss of their own loves the chance to come together.

  • Mariah Rooney

    TRAUMA SPECIALIST

Mariah Rooney, MSW, LCSW (she/they) is a justice- and collective-liberation oriented, incredibly curious and passionate trauma practitioner and believes that, first and foremost, the building of strong, collaborative and reverent relationships is central to any healing and transformational work. She works to honor and welcome all parts of individuals, families, groups and systems in order to understand stories of adaptation, survival, coping and thriving.

As a committed practitioner, she believes in the necessity of ongoing personal and professional evolution and learning. Throughout her career she has (and continues to) study, practice and collaborate with elders, teachers, researchers and innovators in order to present integrative, innovative and creative approaches within her work.

Attunement is primary in Mariah’s work. As a body- and nervous system-informed practitioner, educator and trainer, her clinical practice and pedagogical approaches integrate varied modalities and frameworks.

Her specializations are in working with the complex manifestations of traumatic stress, attachment trauma, intergenerational trauma, grief and loss, and dissociation as well as working with LGBTQIA+ identifying folks in affirming ways.

She has practiced in outpatient, community, hospital and specialty care settings; has served as a faculty member in the graduate Schools of Social Work at Winona State University and the University of St. Thomas; a trauma-informed care consultant for the American Institutes of Research; was previously a fellow at the Trauma Center in Boston; and is Co-Founder of Trauma Informed Weight Lifting, a program of the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at the Justice Resource Institute.

    FOREST THERAPY & ECO-THERAPY GUIDE

All of my offerings exist to empower you on your journey towards healing, wellness, and connection. I believe that spending intentional time connecting with the natural world, and turning inward to connect with our own inner nature, are essential to living a life of wholeness and purpose. I am a lover of this beautiful planet that is our home, and it is such a great privilege to create a space for others to experience the transformative power of the natural world through my work as a guide and practitioner.

I often refer to Mother Earth as my second mom because I spent so much of my time outside running wild as a child. The love of the natural world that was instilled in me in my early formative years continues to deepen and expand as my life evolves. I was personally drawn to this work out of my own transformative experience with the practice and out of great compassion for our planet and all of the beings I share space with, human and more than human. I dream of a world where consumption is replaced with connection. Where we learn to live in reciprocity with nature, understanding that when we care for nature we care for US.

Nature is for me a refuge, a playground, a mirror, and my greatest teacher.

  • Christina Christian

FOUNDER/OWNER - THE COLORADO RETREAT CO. & STEEL HORSE

Hi! I’m Christina. I started this business to ensure you have the perfect place to host your retreat, offsite, or wedding – complete with the supplies you need and support you expect!

For most of my career I've planned events and experiences at venues all over the world that bring people and communities together.

Having my own unique destination to offer wedding planners, couples, and event organizers that were just like me has been a dream of mine for many years.

In 2022 my husband and I purchased the Steel Horse and immediately recognized how incredibly special, serene, and one-of-a-kind it is.

Behind the dream-come-true that is The Colorado Retreat Co. – and the manifested location – is a story of friendship, of support, but also deep grief. I've shared the story with some, but my heart is called to share it with more of you, so here it is:

  • Willow Bradner

    PSYCHIC MEDIUM

I’m a full time human with all the human things that come with it. I’m a mom, a wife, I serve on the PTA, walk my dog, grocery shop and like you I have dreams and aspirations for this life. My psychic works with YOUR Guides, YOUR Angels and yes, I have the ability to communicate with your late Loved Ones who have crossed over.

The way I deliver will have you TRUSTING yourself and your vibes in a way that will leave you feeling empowered and stoked on your life.

If it’s a loved one you are connecting with I go slow and make sure to validate that I have your person. I do not bring in anyone you haven’t asked for. Our loved ones are so precious and I am very careful in these readings.

It’s my honor to be the go between and help unravel the messages and get you the clarity, confidence, inspiration and understanding you need to live life at your full potential.
